Wallace heading for Chicago

Four time Defensive Player of the Year Ben Wallace is leaving the Detroit Pistons to suit up for the Chicago Bulls next season after the Bulls offered Wallace a 4 year $60 million contract.

Detroit only offered the 31 year old Wallace a $50 million deal leaving the big man disappointed that it was time to end his six year association with the Pistons.

Wallace told the Detroit News that he appreciated what the Pistons had done for him but was disappointed Pistons' president of basketball operations Joe Dumars couldn't come up with a deal to keep Wallace in Detroit.

Wallace will join the Chicago Bulls on July 12 when free agents can't officially sign contracts.
